Ingersoll Rand Polish Offices Unite In Support for Ukraine

To support those affected by the crisis in Ukraine, Ingersoll Rand recently committed up to $1 million in humanitarian assistance through a $250,000 contribution to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), up to $250,000 in matched employee donations to the U.N. World Food Programme and $500,000 in products. Through these efforts, we hope to provide up to 1,000,000 meals to people in Ukraine and those fleeing to Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova.

The war in Ukraine has hit close to home for many employees. Ingersoll Rand’s offices in Poland, including Krakow office, Warsaw Demand Generation Center and the Warsaw IR compressor site, have united to raise aid for their neighbors in need. With donations still coming in, the locations have collected 3,976.64zł ($916.80 USD), first aid kits, thermal blankets and sleeping gear. All money and items will be donated to the Polish Red Cross.

Making Life Better – Living the Purpose

Ingersoll Rand is proud to stand with the people of Ukraine, and many employees in the region have taken further action by volunteering at boarder stations, housing Ukrainian refugees and teaching language skills.

Agnieszka Tomaszewicz, an office administrator at one of Ingersoll Rand’s Polish locations, applied to the Warsaw Volunteers. With the support of her managers, Aga has helped families seek refuge, acting at times as a translator, comforter, guardian of dogs and “embracer” of impossible things. She is currently working as a volunteer leader at one of the largest stations in Warsaw where she provides warm meals, pet supplies, quick language lessons, travel assistance, lodging and comfort with the help of her co-worker and Ingersoll Rand marketing specialist Sebastian Krawczyk. They have organized a playground with Disney movies for their younger guests.

Oleksandr Marchuk, marketing automation specialist, originally hails from central Ukraine. He now helps his countrymen fleeing the war as regularly as conditions allow and recently volunteered at one of the refugee assistance centers at Expo (ul. Modlińska 6D, Warsaw). The center specializes in providing help with accommodation, meals, clothing and personal hygiene items.

Agnieszka Jonca in customer experience, provided accommodations to the daughter of a Ukrainian friend during the first week of war, who was terrified of the bombing at a nearby airport. She helped the young refugee prepare a CV and secure a job in a local kindergarten where she looks after 15 Ukrainian children who escaped from the war – the same as she did. Aga also serves as a driver for those in need.

Sebastian Krawczyk, Ingersoll Rand marketing specialist, is a Warsaw Volunteer, having joined as soon as the war broke out. He serves at the organization’s Ursynów Arena location that has served as a stopover center for refugees and camps around 240 people. Sabastian and his fellow volunteers work in six-hour shifts around the clock where they face an enormity of duties that are mentally, physically and emotionally exhausting.

Ingersoll Rand’s purpose is to “make life better,” and we are proud of our colleagues that have taken action by volunteering at border stations, housing Ukrainian refugees, providing safety for families and their pets and teaching language skills to help them navigate their new circumstances. Fellow Ingersoll Rand employees from around the globe are proud to stand with Ukrane and have joined the support, raising over 12,500 meals through the U.N. World Food Programme in just three days.
