Ingersoll Rand has been named to the 2022 Sustainability Yearbook, S&P Global’s annual and comprehensive listing of the world’s most sustainable companies. The company has been distinguished an “Industry Mover,” ranking within the top 15% of its industry category, Machinery and Electrical Equipment.
“We are very proud to earn this prestigious recognition,” said Mary Betsch, vice president of sustainability at Ingersoll Rand. “Sustainability is strategic to our team, and this achievement is testament to our relentless commitment to Ingersoll Rand’s 2030 and 2050 Environmental Goals and forward-looking ESG strategies.”
The Sustainability Yearbook includes companies that are in the top 15% of their industry and achieve an S&P Global ESG score that is within 30% of the best in their sector. In addition to making the list, Ingersoll Rand was award the “Industry Mover Sustainability Award” for its top 15% ranking, an improved S&P Global ESG Score of a least five percent and achieving the strongest improvement in its industry.
The 2022 edition of the Yearbook is the result of a global sustainability assessment that included more than 13 million data points from 7,554 companies across 61 industries. The report is compiled annually to help investors identify companies that are successfully addressing the opportunities and risks of the global sustainability challenge.
